Dialtown is NOT a game I would expect to be obsessed with. I'm really not a fan of romance at all, letalone a dating simulator. Never liked romance in books, games, im not even big on shipping in most fandoms, to be honest.

So what is 'Dialtown: Phone dating sim' doing in my nonsense page? Whats so special about it? Oh, poor reader, I will tell you.

Dialtown is a dating simulator/visual novel made by DirectDoggo, aka Dogman.

Dialtown is not your average dating simulator, no. Dialtown is set in a world where everyone (and everyTHING)'s heads are replaced by objects, Men have phones, women have typewriters, dogs have gramophones, horses have engines, you get the idea.

You play as Gingi, a horrid green-skinned, six-nippled, head-made-of-stitched-together-flesh having CREATURE. Gingi has one goal, find a suitable place to lay their horrid green eggs. The ideal place? The town funfair, of course.

Just one problem, you are a creature who lives in a tent and eats gravel and roadkill for lunch, and you cannot afford a ticket to the funfair. But, luckily for you, it is Valentines day, and there is a special deal. Two tickets for the price of one.

All you have to do is find some shmuck to buy you into the funfair for you. Maybe you'll accidentally change their life tradgectory while you're there, who knows :P

Dialtown is a goddamn awful experience, and i would give anything to experience it again. Directdoggos writing is right up my alley, its absurd and confusing, yet it can genuinely be heartfelt at times. If youve had the misfortune of playing Dogman's "Dayshift at Freddy's" Trilogy, the writing is somewhat familliar.

Its also just a genuinely fun game, the story is engaging, the characters have depth, and the routes you take as phonegingi never feel boring

You should play dialtown, or dont, It doesnt matter to me.
